Having had a bit of an issue with our cast for a while now, Tori finally revealed to us that she has been rather unwell of late and as such will no longer be available on the day of our shoot anymore. Understanding of her unfortunate situation, we immediately gathered as a group to discuss possible last minute alternatives.
Thinking about what opportunities we now had, we thought that perhaps we could create a more original music video concept than that of a 'badass girl group' by introducing two boys into the fold, and thus reaffirming our music video idea of a group of teenage delinquents playing truant. The introduction of one boy wouldn't be as affective as that of two, and wanting to keep our cast number at 5, it meant we had to cut one of our girls. Consequently, given Emma's lack of commitment to the music video (in comparison to our other cast members) we sadly asked her to no longer be involved. In her place, we cast two boys whom we are friends with and know will be able to perform on the day: Xavier and Luca. When considering these two boys, we also thought of a couple of other choices. However, when hosting an audition, it became clear that these two were the obvious choice.
Placing them with the girls, we decided that the unit looked effective and successfully conveyed the image we want within our video. Our next job is to ensure that they have suitable costumes.
